Vitamin D is produced naturally by the body through our skin's exposure to sunlight. However due to lack of natural sun exposure, sunscreen use and our environment we rarely produce enough Vitamin D needed to fuel our bodies.

Symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency include; impaired weight loss, fatigue, poor sleep, hair loss, depression/feeling sad, bone achiness/pain and muscle weakness.

Getting enough daily vitamin D can keep your hormone levels balanced and enhance weight loss by decreasing body fat. Losing weight can also increase vitamin D levels. Proper Vitamin D intake specifically helps reduce belly fat.

Vitamin D recommended intake is 600–800 IU/day. Vitamin D can be found naturally in eggs, milk, fortified cereals, oily fish and juices. Most people still need to use a daily Vitamin D3 supplement. Speak to your health provider about your vitamin D level prior to taking a Vitamin D3 supplement.
