Happy Nurse Practitioner Week!!

The Nurse Practitioner profession began in 1985 with a small group of nurse visaionaires from Pennsylvania. Thanks to their brave foresight there are over 350,000 Nurse Practitioners nationwide. Nurse Practitioners work in every healthcare setting from research and teaching to neonates, psychiatry and emergency care. To become an NP you must complete a master's or doctoral degree program and have advanced clinical training beyond the initial professional registered nurse (RN) preparation.

Nurse Practitioners positively impact healthcare by providing affordable care, improved access to care, and meet the request for a tailor made approach to care.
