Mounjaro hit the market in early 2022. With Wegovy on a continued national shortage, we coined Mounjaro as the answer to our GLP-1 prayers! Mounjaro is FDA approved for type 2 Diabetics but the medication also offers significant weight loss benefits. Who could turn down a $25 once per week injection that curves cravings and jump starts weight loss? Fast forward to December 1, Monjaro users are now required to have a Prior authorization completed by their medical provider that proves a diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus.

Saxenda is a weekly GLP-1 that was created by Novo Nordisk specifically for weight loss.
