Still Hungry on your GLP-1m

Taking a GLP-1 doesn’t mean you’ll never feel hungry again — and that’s actually normal! Here’s why hunger can still show up:

1. Your body still needs fuel.

GLP-1s slow digestion and reduce appetite, but they don’t replace real nutrition. When your body needs energy, it will signal hunger.

2. You may not be eating enough protein or fiber.

Low-protein or low-fiber meals digest quickly, leading to earlier hunger. Balanced meals = longer fullness.

3. Emotional or habitual hunger still exists.

Stress, boredom, social eating, and routines don’t disappear with medication.

4. Your dose may not fully suppress appetite.

Some days you might feel hungrier as your body adjusts—totally normal.

5. Hormones fluctuate.

Sleep, menstrual cycles, and stress hormones can increase appetite even while on GLP-1s.

6. You're losing weight.

As you lose fat, your hunger hormones can increase temporarily. It’s your body trying to maintain balance.

Remember: Hunger isn’t a sign your medication isn’t working. It’s simply a signal from your body—listen, fuel well, and stay consistent. 💛
