Berries vs. Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the time to recognize those persons diagnosed breast cancer and those who have lost loved ones from breast cancer. Eating a diet mainly comprised of plant foods, seeds and vegetables. Berries have a ton of antioxidants that are shown to help fight cancer including breast cancer. Antioxidants protect our body’s cells from damage that lead could lead to cancer. Blueberries rank the highest in phytochemicals, antioxidants, and resveratrol. Strawberries are a close second. The skin on red grapes is also a great way to consume resveratrol. Consider adding a variety of berries to your diet for these added benefits.
